Want! Kate Beaton's Tesla Print

Second installment in my list of objects that attract my rampant drive to consume.

This, like the lawn zombie, is another piece of art.

Plus: It’s a cool looking and humorous print about Tesla. Really, that should be enough in itself but other pluses to consider include:

1) Supporting a Canadian artist (Harper won’t, please see fourth panel down).

2) Supporting a girl from the Maritimes (like me).

3) Supporting a girl from the Maritimes called Kate (also like me).

4) Looking at this print will remind me of a super party I was at a couple summers ago where we could overhear the chatter of a party happening in the flat above. It sounded like the men involved were at the beginnings of a stag night with talk of strippers and how drunk they were going to get. Then, I guess, someone must have said something about Edison prompting another chap to yell “Fuck Edison! Tesla’s the Man!” Which was very unexpected and just about perfect.

Minus: I have so many prints already on my walls and at least one that still needs to be framed.

Which leads to another possible plus – trip to Ikea or better still Magic Pony for framing purposes.

I well recommend Kate Beaton’s site. Her stuff is super. I’m especially fond of her Conversations with a Younger Self and Pony Adventures.
